Peace must be fought for!

Václav Kupilík at the international conference “The World Majority for a Just, Equal and Safe World”, Moscow, April 26, 2024

Good afternoon, my name is Václav Kupilík and I am from the Czech Republic. I am the vice-chairman of the Alliance of National Forces political party. Thank you for the invitation to the conference and the opportunity to say a few words.

I was born and grew up in Czechoslovakia in the seventies and eighties of the last century. I remember being taught that we live in peace because we were liberated by the Soviet Union in 1945. That we live in peace because our country is protected by our army. That we live in peace because our country lives in friendship, brotherhood and cooperation with other countries of the Eastern bloc. By the Eastern Bloc countries standing together, the Eastern Bloc was strong and a counterweight to the West. And that really ensured peace in Europe.

But then came 1989 and with it political changes in the Eastern Bloc. The cohesion of the Eastern Bloc was destroyed. The balance in Europe was destroyed. Some countries were also destroyed and divided. Ours too. Czechoslovakia became the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Even worse, war has returned to some parts of Europe.

With the political changes in our country, the political orientation of our country changed and the politicians started telling us that we belong to the West. What also changed was that there was no more talk of peace in our country at the political level. This word, this expression, this concept has disappeared. And it was replaced by another concept. Politicians suddenly started telling us that we have to support this war, that we have to send our professional soldiers to that war. That we must stand behind the West and support their wars. They dragged our country into NATO membership so that there was no other option for us than to agree to their wars, support them and participate in them. At present it has gone so far that they are beginning to say that we must prepare for the fact that we all go to war. But we don’t want to fight in foreign wars. They talk the most about wars, and people are sent to wars by those who don’t have to go there.

One of my favorite activities is traveling. Whenever I travel and meet people from other countries and other cultures, I like to talk to them about their life, their culture and their country. I met and talked to many people from all over the world and I realized that it doesn’t matter where people are from, what race or creed, they all want the same thing. They want to get an education, find a good job, have fun with friends, find a partner, build a home, start a family, raise children, enjoy time with family. But all this is possible only if there is peace. Nobody ever says anything about wars.

To manipulate the common people, our politicians use lies and create fear. They do all this against the interests of their own nation and for the benefit of a foreign power, a power that is comfortable with wars and needs them to advance its own interests. People hear an endless amount of lies, distorted facts and half-truths from the media that is on their side. They distort our past and history. One example for all. The European Parliament recently agreed to state that Germany and the Soviet Union are equally responsible for the Second World War. Thanks to foreign-sponsored non-profit organizations, school curricula are being changed and our children are being taught a false, twisted past.

He who wants war must also have an enemy. And that’s why they started lying to us that our brotherly country Russia is suddenly our enemy and that we have to fight against this enemy. They constantly lie to us about this and perform various acts of provocation against Russia, based only and only on lies. Lies about Russia wanting to invade, occupy and subjugate us. Sometimes they don’t even have to lie, they just don’t tell the truth. Like, for example, about the fact that Russia can’t even take our country from us. Our country no longer belongs to us. It was stolen from us after 1989 and is occupied by Western corporations that own and control most of our national economy.

To support their lies, they must support them with fear. It’s not just about creating fear of Russia, it’s mainly about creating fear of telling the truth. Unfortunately, a portion of our nation believes and supports these lies, as well as calls for war. But the majority of the population is only afraid because they could be punished for telling the truth. A small part of people are not afraid to tell the truth, and that is why they are attacked in a such a way as defamation, name-calling, intimidation, there is censorship, even of alternative media, there is police and court harassment. The police can ring anyone’s doorbell for the truth written on social networks, people are invited to the police to give an explanation, and in some cases they can even end up in court.

People who are not afraid to tell the truth are labeled with artificially created names that are intended to create a negative and derogatory impression about the given person or group. It is enough if a person expresses his love for his own nation in defense against of Western ideologies, and he is immediately called a pro-Russian, Putin agent paid by the Kremlin. It is interesting that this is often said and written by traitors who are actually paid by Western non-profit organizations. They even created a new word for people who are not afraid to speak out against wars and currently against the rhetoric of a possible war against Russia. This word is meant to induce a shameful and derisive image of the person in question. That word is “chcimir”. I would most likely translate it into English as „peacewanter“ (The one who wants peace).

If we want to live in peace and security, we must be telling the truth. We must strive to maintain and preserve our states, our countries, our nations. We must preserve our true history in order to learn from it, but also to find in it the strength of our ancestors that will give us strength for the future. People and nations of the whole world must get to know each other, meet, talk to each other in order to get to know each other and understand that the majority do not want war, that the vast majority of people want peace. The world’s majority must stick together and stand up to the minority that wants war.

This conference is a great opportunity to get to know each other, talk and start cooperation in the fight for world security and peace. I thank the organizers for organizing this conference, for the invitation and the opportunity to speak here.

Unfortunately, we live in a world where peace is not a given. That is why we must cherish, strive for and fight for peace. Those who want a future fight for peace. Thank you for your attention.
